If you can, try to live in a better area. Yes, there are Indian immigrants in Flemmingdon Park, so you may feel more comfortable there, but it’s an area that attracts crime and there are poor living conditions. Toronto is multicultural, and there are Indian people all over the city, so you do have other options if culture is a determining factor in your move.

What are the accommodations available outside campus for UWA student?
I would like to know the places available for rental outside campus for UWA students since the hostels are all full. Do you guys out there know any place, preferably near to UWA? Please answer coz it’s for this year (semester starting end of February and reaching there at about February 23). If possible, please give adress or contact numbers or websites where we can find people who would want to rent out their place for a few years to come.
the university is located in the suburb of nedlands. there is accomodation arnd uni, particularly at broadway, fairway, monash ave and hampden road. however, there may be some difficulty in looking for rooms, esp when its so close to term start. u can try searching thru a real estate agent, follow this link. http://www.realestate.com.au/realestate/agent/kempton+azzopardi+nedlands/kwhxla/rental+properties.

where can i find cheap accommodation in downtown quebec city?

You’re going to pay extra if you’re not French Canadian. As soon as they hear your accent, prices go up lol. It’s expensive visiting Quebec City so be careful. Make reservations on line if possible. Also Quebec has a bus system but they won’t tell you and try to get you to use a taxi which will milk you for everything you got lol. The French will rob you, cheat you, lie to you, and call you names in a language you don’t understand but you get the idea lol. Don’t use a credit card either, cash is safer.
The French general attitude is if you’re not French, you don’t matter. They can be downright meanies and enjoy it. It took me a lot of patience to get along with them and gain their respect but once I did, life was good. I like the French but I know I’m in the minority on that lol. Food is really good, best quality ingredients even at the inexpensive family places.
The good news; it’s not as bad as I just said. Also the younger people are evolving. If you’re on the street and you need to ask someone a question, ask a college kid lol.

Quest on Burke is a nice apartment hotel, spacious beautiful one and two bedroom apartments. What you spend on the room you can save on food, make your own brekky and get take away. It’s around $150 – $180 a night.
