I’m moving to Vancouver this December from Australia as part of a work abroad program… I’m young and don’t have a lot of money and don’t yet know what kind of $$ the job that awaits me will pay. The company organizes initial hostel accomodation but then after that it’s over to me to find my own place… How much is it usually to rent a room in Vancouver?
Vancouver is one of the best cities to live in in the entire world. It is VERY expensive to live in so what I would suggest would be for you to apply to some sort of student affiliated facility. UBC and SFU offer housing for students and other low income young people. I would not even consider to rent out of a apartament, condos, etc.. because those are absolutely ridiculously priced. You could also look at renting the basement or room of somebody’s house, which my cousin who is studying there is currently doing. Good luck
my reason for asking is i am planning a trip to canada and i am in two minds as to whether to stop in kamloops, it looks like a nice place but there seems to be very little cheap accommodation and i`m not sure if its worth visiting

We want to go on a trip to Melbourne and it’ll probably cost about $170 for the flights. I don’t care if it’s not fancy because we have friends down there, and will be spending most our money going out and shopping ((: Maybe a tattoo haha. So we just need somewhere conveniently close to the city and cheap.
Also, if you know of any great hidden places that are quirky and fun! I love street art, strange music, and flamboyant people!

Lebron is not afforded the luxury of a bad game like kobe. Because his supporting cast isn’t willing to step up. If you look at the remaining teams left you will see the difference in supporting cast.
well I think it is obvious now if you just look at the stats of the supporting cast of the Lakers like when Gasol tip that last shot by a Kobe miss in game 6 of the Thunders series which would have made it a 7 game series if he did not tip that miss in or like the other night when Gasol had 33 points and 14 rebounds which lead the team in both, the Cavs do not have a person or a side kick producing for James and like that. Jamison is no Pippen was to Jordan and Mo kinda disappeared like he did in the Orlando series last year,
So no Lebron do not have the luxury of a bad game like kobe has or even Pierce did not have a real good game until last night and they still won a game with him being pretty much invisible.
But I do think Lebron was a little to passive in a game where he needed to get a win because your back is against the wall, the problem with you back against the wall is that now there is no room for error or room to try something else and see if it works

I have a middle school child with high functioning Asperger’s. What accommodations are recommended for such a child?
When my son was in middle school he had an assistant, speech therapy and social skills training. He had other accommodations because of health and other issues but those were the main ones that pertained to his ASD. Every child is unique and has to be considered individually.
Think about what your child needs as far as accommodations and ask for them. Be prepared to explain WHY you want certain things, an assistant would be a good example. Most children with Aspergers are NOT going to get a one on one aide. You have to show WHY your child needs it and show that there is no other, less restrictive, option.
