Do you tip at a bed and breakfast?

I’ll be staying with 3 children age 3 and 18 months at a family oriented bed and breakfast on a farm in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. Having never stayed at a bed and breakfast before I was wondering what, if any tip is appropriate at breakfast. Run by a married couple, the wife apparently prepares quite a hot spread, not just coffee and bagels. Just wondering if I’m supposed to leave a tip, or assume that "bed & breakfast" implies not. Thanks!

In some parts of Pennsylvania, bed-and-breakfast places are only permitted to offer very basic breakfasts – cold cereal with milk, coffee or tea, toast and jelly, orange juice – that sort of thing. If they want to offer full cooked breakfasts, their kitchen has to be up to food service standards. It’s weird, but those are the regulations.

Anyway, Lancaster County is a big Amish-style tourist area. I’m sure they’re accustomed to receiving tips at a bed-and-breakfast place, especially if they’ve upgraded their kitchen. How much? About 15% of what the breakfasts might have cost at a restaurant would be about right.

Accommodation and things to do on my trip to Sydney alone?

im planning to go to sydney by myself via train/bus sometime this week. would you guys say that this is safe for a woman who’s never been to sydney? i still don’t have accommodation or my itinerary sorted and was hoping to get some feedback from you guys on the best places to stay and some nice areas to visit.

wouldn’t mind spending a bit of cash but i am trying to save whichever way i can. hope to hear from yall soon, thanks!

Yes Sydney is pretty safe – just be smart and be confident.

YHA hostels are great and you can meet many different natios there. Many hostels will take you as you arrive.

i would recommend on top of the nother two answers – get the Manly Ferry and go to Manly beach for lunch or for the day. They also have an Aquarium but seriously its a beautiful day trip and great way to see the harbour and the city skyline.

Have heaps of fun and take care :)

How do I find a good deal on a bed and breakfast?

We’re looking to have a romantic weekend away, and would really like to spend two nights at a bed and breakfast, but all of the ones I can find are way out of our budget. Any advise? We’re going to Savannah, GA.

Does it make sense for a country house to be on a ranch?

Are houses even on ranches? Haha, i’m confused, and since i don’t live on a ranch i’m not sure. Any help would be good. Ty (:

Oh, and this is for something i’m writing, hence the section i picked.
Or a farmhouse to be on a ranch?

Houses are houses. It is entirely possible (though it virtually never happens) for houses of identical architecture to be on: a farm (in which case it could be called a farmhouse), a ranch (ranch house) or a street in a suburb of Washington DC (in which case it would be called just a house). It’s what people LIVE in and doesn’t need to be different just because they live on a ranch. Since farm and ranch families often involve large and/or "extended" families, the houses on those places are often larger than the typical one in suburbia. but otherwise they are no different.

Wise old advice – write about what you KNOW and not about things you are unfamiliar with, or else do a whole lot of research.

How do i get a job at a luxury car dealership?

I’m 19 I have experience in retail but i have no experience selling cars but I know A LOT about luxury cars. Is there anyway I can get a job in sales at a car dealership like lexus, mercedes, porsche or even the higher up ones like aston martin, lamborghini, ferrari?

I work as a Finance Manager at an exotic dealership in souther California. When I first applied I needed to show proof that I made over $100,000 in my previous year before even considering me. I’m sure different places have different policies but a high line dealership is not the place to start. There is more to car sales than just knowing the 0-60 of a Bugatti Veyron. If you were planning on spending a couple 100k would you feel comfortable buying a car off a 19 year old? Get your foot in the door of a regular Toyota, Honda, Nissan dealership and work your way up! Plus in a high line dealership you don’t have much opportunity to practice your sales technique if your lucky you’ll sell 5 cars month where at a regular dealership you can sell between 15-30 if your good.

How much would it cost to build a decent house in the country?

OK so i was just wondering how much a decent ranch house in the country would cost to build. Give me an estimate please, thanks!

The ONLY person who can answer your question is a reputable builder in your area. A real estate agent can tell you what the very generally per sq. foot is in your area. Way to many unknowns for us to help you.

My area is over 200 per square foot, others are cheaper, others far more expensive.
