I’ve changed my dates again for my holiday so now i’ll be going there at the end of August now. Anyway, when should I start booking the accommodation? I know the Winter Games will be held around this time, so will it be very busy? I really dont want to miss out on booking a room so when should I book? Thanks everyone!
Whenever a popular event is held in an area such as this… Airfare, Room Accommodations, Entertainment, etc. will all go up. My advice is… If you know the exact dates that you would like to travel to & from your destinations, you might as well book it now.

This is right in the middle of the high season, and you are in danger of missing out if you procrastinate too much longer.

As soon as your flight schedule is locked down. As you surmise, Queenstown will be in the middle of ski season, so rooms go pdg.
