Come and sample the delights of Vanuatu at beautiful Oyster Island Resort. Experience first hand the relaxed Melanesian way of life whilst enjoying the natural beauty that abounds on this private sanctuary, only a short boat ride from the mainland.
This magnificent tropical paradise is located on the eastern side of Espiritu Santo, the largest of Vanuatu’s 83 islands. The location allows for a variety of activities such as watching the jumping fish in the calm waters of the channel, swimming through the surf, or meandering on horse back through the plantation.
Whether you are honeymooners, a business or family group, semi-retired or just young at heart, Oyster Island Resort has an experience for you. Wake up to spectacular vistas from the comfort of our waterfront fares then spend your day leisurely enjoying all this unique island has to offer. Snorkel our beautiful reefs, dive the World War Two plane wrecks, or just pick up a packed lunch and spend the day on one of our secluded beaches. Perhaps swinging in a hammock under the coconut trees or taking advantage of the nearby golf course sounds more your style. For those looking for something a little more active beach volleyball, bushwalking, kayaking and fishing are just a few of the pursuits you can take advantage of.
Evenings can be enjoyed in front of spectacular sunsets with a cocktail and fine dining including oysters that come straight from the water to you. Le Restaurant offers a la carte dining in true al fresco style and is open 7 days a week. Seafood is our specialty and hours are as relaxed as the atmosphere!

We stayed here in July for 8 days and had an AWESOME time! Beautiful Island, easy to get to (we got even got picked up from the airport), Great accomodation, fantastic food and extremely friendly hosts (Grant and Benita) and staff – 10 out of 10 guys!
Arguably, one of the South Pacifics’ most beautifull travel destinations is Vanuatu, it is a stunning country both culturally, and geographically, so diverse with a myriad of thingsto do. One of my favourite top three islands is Oyster.
You can see thousands of photos of the numerous islands I have taken including Oyster over the many years living here at:
