do you tip at a bed and breakfast?

My wife and I are staying at a B&B for a week for our honeymoon. Who do we tip at the B&B? How Much?

I think you should tip at a bed and breakfast, although the people may be too humble to accept. If they don’t accept, be sure to leave a culmination of whatever you would like to tip on the nightstand when you leave, possibly in an envelope specifying who you’re tipping.

Customarily, tipping 10%-15% is acceptable, but I think that only applies for meals. Tipping a few bucks would be nice for every service they provide for you; a small tip for you baggage handler, possibly for the front desk, the person who delivers towels, definitely for the maid, etc. They may even have a tip basket at the breakfast area.

The nice things are bed and breakfasts is how unique and personal things are. Show them that you appreciate their establishment.

Bed and breakfast: toilet wasn’t flushed?

The owners of the b&b are really lovely and their rooms are spotless. However on a recent visit, the ensuite toilet wasn’t flushed and there was urine and toilet tissue in the bowl. I didn’t have the heart to let the owners know, so I just flushed it. Since I’ve been watching hotel programmes, I wonder if I should have complained?
Yup, you’re absolutely right, freesump. You have me described to a tee.

Hi,
Disgusting. this should be reported to the owners because they may have a member of staff who is skipping some of their responsibilities.

Why do some bed and breakfasts prohibit children under a certain age from staying there?

Noise, destruction of property, basically. B&Bs are mostly for couples and they expect the atmosphere to be peaceful and quiet.

First time to Paris, France- Hotel, Bed & Breakfast or rent an apartment?

We are going for a trip to Paris, France next month and just wondering what is most cost effective. Hotel, Bed & Breakfast or rent an apartment? We are only going for a week.

Apart’hotels (résidence hôtelières in french) for a short stay are very convenient. Citea Tilsitt Etoile is not too expensive, about 130 euros, and the location is great, near the Champs Elysées. The less expensive apart’hotel I know is the Family Residence. The location is good, not too far from the Eiffel Tower.

Have you stayed at a haunted bed & breakfast in Saint Augustine Florida?

I live about 3 hours from Saint Augustine and me and a friend want to stay at a haunted & breakfast and launch a paranormal investigation (just for fun) we have no clue what we’re doing really. I’m looking for one as haunted as possible, close to the metropolitan area and the cheaper the better. If anyone out there has stayed at one I would appreciate your opinions reviews experiences etc. Thank you.

Well, since there’s no such thing as "haunted", no.

Which website i should choose to promote my bed & breakfast in the world?

I have a bed & breakfast in Naples (Italy), and most of my clients arrive from Italy. I’d like to know if there are free portals or sites where i can add my b&b references to get in touch with foreign people, as this was the main reason i’ve tried to start my activity.
Do you know any good site to refer or can you give me any advice?
Thanks to everyone!

Is there a bed and breakfast that allows extended stays?

I am looking for a place to stay in the Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Seirville area for 3-6 months stay. Is there a website I can find a bed & breakfast, or something that has reasonable rates for this amount of stay?

How many guest rooms should a bed & breakfast have?

I’ve always thought it would be so cool to run my own bed & breakfast, and I was just curious to see how many guest rooms you guys think a B&B should have. Thanks :)

How and where should I start a Bed and Breakfast?

OK, my parents and I are looking to start up a small business. Right now, we are looking to start a Bed & Breakfast, and than branch off into toys, and myself a couple other things on my own perhaps. Anyway, I am looking for advice on opening a bed and breakfast, where is theb est place to open one, anything at all, websites to look at with info, anything. Thanks so much for the help.
Ok, we are thinking of maybe a old fashioned toy type theme, with a train room, doll room… I am thinking maybe an hour or so outside of Washington D.C. might be a good place, due to D.C., the beach, Williamsburg… being near there, and it is close to a halfway point to Disney World. Yes, we are thinking of a giftshop. We are looking for a more rural property as well, but no pool or anything like that most likely. Maybe near some woods or something.
