there were no openings in the roach motel, and the directions said nothing about opening the actually motels. it just says to tear them apart from each other and lay them down in your house.

so how does the roach get inside the motel?

I’m 15 years old and I’d really like to get a job. I live in a coastal town that gets a lot of tourists, so there are a lot of motels. How old do you have to be to get paid for cleaning motel rooms? I’m thinking about applying for a job at a motel close to where I live.

I’m pretty sure your old enough. I just turned 16 and I work at Best Western as a housekeeper But I guess it all depends what motel it is. Good Luck

Our flight would be landing a little before 1am in the morning. We just need a room to accommodate us until the sun is up so we could tour cebu for just 1 day and head back to the airport later in the evening to go back to manila. If it is in the city, could you please specify the name of the motel and it’s location so we can tell the taxi cab where we are heading?

Try KonTiki on Mactan Island at Maribago Beach. It is nice enough, reasonable enough, and—They do not care how long you stay as long as you pay, but—they are reasonable!!!
You can catch a tricycle, a taxi or… and for a short , inexpensive ride—you will be at KonTiki.
Edde Love (a transplanted Australian) has a place also, near by to KonTiki. He will pick you up at the airport and transport you, feed you, and bed you for a very reasonable price.
I can tell you one thing for certain, "If" your intention is to land in Cebu and make a "whirlwind tour" of Cebu and leave out in the afternoon; You are being ridiculously ignorant of what is located in this area. However, "IF" this is your intent—tour Mactan only and do not waste any time in doing other things. Mactan Island is where McGellan was killed in the Philippines and it is rich in Filipino history.Give up something else on your apparently tight schedules and tour Mactan/Cebu. I lived on Mactan for six months. I never saw all that I should have. I watched native Filipinos, with the crudest form of tools imaginable; create the most beautiful Guitars that you can possibly imagine ‘and’ at the most reasonable prices you could ever imagine!!! There are many true artists there and their history deserves more than a fast, one day , whirlwind tour. Do yourself and them a favor; "IF" that is all of the time you can allocate—-don’t waste your time or money, Just stay home!!

Its been left as a pile of rubble since they demolished the Master Brewer motel several years ago. They were once talking about building a massive supermarket with flats, a hotel, fuel/service station and transport hub.

Well Tesco’s dont do hotels they do supermarkets so that is what you will get once all the
t’s are crossed and the I’s dotted,can take a few years from start to finish so many things have
to be passed off,the biggest or one of the biggest would be the petroleum regs.with the fire and
police,both must be entirely satisfied,but they have built a lot,and it should be routine,just takes
time…..

I’m going on vacation across state for the weekend. How old do you have to me to rent a motel for a few nights. Can I pay cash up front or do I need a credit card?

Not much, I’ve stayed in motels without even having to put down a cash deposit. There was never even a mention of a credit card being required, just government issue photo ID

Hotels – different story all together

Would be staying at a red roof in. Traveling overnight to get to an event sunday afternoon. Stopping at a motel overnight though. Anyone know if this is at all possible?

Yes if they have an available room you can check in and then check out whenever you like. You’ll need to pay for the full night.

Does it cost more to rent an apartment or go to a motel that is pay by the week? I have friends that are stating that they are going to live at Extended Stay America for $740/mos. My rent is higher than that and I have to pay utilities.

It depends on the hotel and on the apartment. A hotel can cost less, and keep in mind that a hotel has amenities such as maid service, laundry, cable TV and internet, room service, etc.
