Can anyone help me providing information on decent but cheap accommodation options in Singapore?

I am searching many websites and primarily get an idea on hotel accomodations and the prices there, per night. However, I intend to stay there for almost THREE WEEKS. If anyone can help me out on this by providing some information or pointers I will be very happy. Thanks and regards

Accomodation is never cheap in Singapore. For your information, Fragance hotel and Hotel 81 are hotel range with "hourly rate" if you know what i mean. However, these 2 hotels do have many branches, and certain branches in certain location can be quite decent. Rates starts from $55 per night. Try not to choose chinatown and Geylang location, mostly "hourly rate customers", not very decent…….

I have browsed through and you can try the following branches:

Hotel 81 – Changi, Bugis, Kovan, Tristar
Fragrance Hotel – Kovan, Classic, Balestier, Viva

Following are their direct website. But I think booking through internet room reservations portal is cheaper. Try Asia travel.com (see below link)

I went to Singapore about a year or two ago. I stayed for two weeks. Initially I was booked in a fancy hotel which was costing me US $200 a night. I couldn’t find much help on the net either.. Ne ways.. I spent my first night there because I was too tired from travelling. The next morning I went out and bought a hotel book. They are available pretty cheap. Checked out of couple of places. Found several hotel in the $35 to $ 40 a night range. Mostly you’ll find them in the Geylang district. Not a upscale nor central neighbourhood but singapore it a very safe place & the subway is usally a ten minture walk away.

Acutally I found a link for you.

I stayed in one of these Fragrance Hotels. They’re reasonably clean, have a double bed, attached bathroom with a tv and a phone. What more does a tourist need ? :)

Take care and enjoy your trip.

The last time I was in Singapore, I stayed for almost 1 month (24 days to be exact). I rented a HDB room. I paid S$500 for the room which I shared with my friend.

depends what’s your agenda & iteinerary & budget…. how cheap is cheap? on average for most budget hotels with decent facilities & accessible in town… u’re looking at avg of about SGD120-180 per night.

if u’re here on biz trip, perhaps can get the local counterpart to help u get a room on corporate price range???
