What are the main types of business travel and accommodation arrangements that may need to be made? What are the procedures that should be followed when doing this?

I need to answer this question for my studies but I do not seem to have the answers in the handouts.

Business travel = flight, train, taxi etc
so you need to book the flights, train tickets etc
Accommodation = hotel
so you need to book the hotel for the appropriate dates

My friend and I are planning a trip through Europe, we are both just finished school so don’t have loads of cash to spend. What Hotels or other accommodation could you recommend preferably, safe environment etc. We would prefer not staying in a room or dorm with other people.

under 20 euros , your only options are the fore mentioned : street, and hostel. if you are in out of way place , in the country side, yes, possibly, but i doubt it . amsterdam, barcelona paris ??? !!! 200 euro may not be enough in paris. in amsterdam, its possible to have decent accommodations for under 80 euro. barcelona is about same, may be a tad cheaper, then amsterdam, but you have to shop around.

I’m really stumped on this one! So far all I have are some phrases to teach her to help her feel more comfortable around my friends.
OH! I forgot to mention I am taking her to a Bowling Alley with my friends! She has never bowled before!

Food and housing accommodations.

there were no openings in the roach motel, and the directions said nothing about opening the actually motels. it just says to tear them apart from each other and lay them down in your house.

so how does the roach get inside the motel?

and why does the motel smell like chocolate?

I’m 15 years old and I’d really like to get a job. I live in a coastal town that gets a lot of tourists, so there are a lot of motels. How old do you have to be to get paid for cleaning motel rooms? I’m thinking about applying for a job at a motel close to where I live.

I’m pretty sure your old enough. I just turned 16 and I work at Best Western as a housekeeper But I guess it all depends what motel it is. Good Luck

The College Accommodation I live in is also where a class of foreign Muslims chose to spend the academic year and many have done things like instruct the other person in the apartment that the utensils in the kitchen provided by the accommodation are only to be used by them so they don’t touch meat which isn’t Halal.. How is the best way to go about handling this without causing a commotion?

Politely inform them that you are paying for these premises as much as them and if they need special utensils, they can buy their own and keep them in their rooms, or they can pay you not to use them as compensation for not been able to use equipment you have funded.

Or get onto the Uni about it. They’re your landlords. They can either move you or them, or inform them that the tenancy agreement applies to everyone, including Muslims.

My wife and I are staying at a B&B for a week for our honeymoon. Who do we tip at the B&B? How Much?

I think you should tip at a bed and breakfast, although the people may be too humble to accept. If they don’t accept, be sure to leave a culmination of whatever you would like to tip on the nightstand when you leave, possibly in an envelope specifying who you’re tipping.

Customarily, tipping 10%-15% is acceptable, but I think that only applies for meals. Tipping a few bucks would be nice for every service they provide for you; a small tip for you baggage handler, possibly for the front desk, the person who delivers towels, definitely for the maid, etc. They may even have a tip basket at the breakfast area.

The nice things are bed and breakfasts is how unique and personal things are. Show them that you appreciate their establishment.

Our flight would be landing a little before 1am in the morning. We just need a room to accommodate us until the sun is up so we could tour cebu for just 1 day and head back to the airport later in the evening to go back to manila. If it is in the city, could you please specify the name of the motel and it’s location so we can tell the taxi cab where we are heading?

Try KonTiki on Mactan Island at Maribago Beach. It is nice enough, reasonable enough, and—They do not care how long you stay as long as you pay, but—they are reasonable!!!
You can catch a tricycle, a taxi or… and for a short , inexpensive ride—you will be at KonTiki.
Edde Love (a transplanted Australian) has a place also, near by to KonTiki. He will pick you up at the airport and transport you, feed you, and bed you for a very reasonable price.
I can tell you one thing for certain, "If" your intention is to land in Cebu and make a "whirlwind tour" of Cebu and leave out in the afternoon; You are being ridiculously ignorant of what is located in this area. However, "IF" this is your intent—tour Mactan only and do not waste any time in doing other things. Mactan Island is where McGellan was killed in the Philippines and it is rich in Filipino history.Give up something else on your apparently tight schedules and tour Mactan/Cebu. I lived on Mactan for six months. I never saw all that I should have. I watched native Filipinos, with the crudest form of tools imaginable; create the most beautiful Guitars that you can possibly imagine ‘and’ at the most reasonable prices you could ever imagine!!! There are many true artists there and their history deserves more than a fast, one day , whirlwind tour. Do yourself and them a favor; "IF" that is all of the time you can allocate—-don’t waste your time or money, Just stay home!!
